Beautiful retreat in a wonderful village. Delightful cottage which was well appointed. I had an allergy issue with a feather duvet which was responded to very quickly. Can’t fault it. Highly recommend

Had a lovely time at this place for a weekend trip away, however there was a few issues which was unfortunate. The location/property itself was amazing, however when we arrived the place was around 8 to10 degrees inside, myself and my partner were freezing, and I was wearing two jumpers! We made use of the cozy fire in the living room but unfortunately it wasn't enough to heat the place up, the rooms upstairs were freezing and my partner and myself went to the local shops to find more firewood, which after spending money we realized there was a wood shed we could have helped ourselves too. When we arrived back at the property the smoke alarm in the kitchen started beeping every 2 minutes, least to say the first night we hardly slept, however Maddie and Sarah were very responsive over messages but no one was available on the first night to sort out these issues. We did contemplate leaving on the second night however we did not, we just had really poor luck.

A beautiful rural idyll. You can fall asleep and wake to the sound of a babbling brook, luxuriate in a gloriously warm outdoor jacuzzi and then return to the cosy comfort of a cottage kitted out with all the latest facilities. In their helpful online handbook, Maddie and Sarah have thought of all the questions you might want to ask and inform you about everything there is to do in the area. This is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of Devon and Cornwall it's close to sea and moor and yet this hidden valley is one Francis Drake would still recognise as very much unchanged since his day. As this was booked as a treat for my husband's birthday, the welcome cake was very much appreciated. If you want to step back in time but remain cosseted with modern comforts this is a wonderful retreat.

Absolutely great stay, would go again for sure. Pub in the village was brilliant, a minute walk, great food, beer and staff. House was clean and tidy, really cozy and lots of little extra’s that made it feel even more special. Loads to do in the area if you like hiking, if you’re into historic sites etc. National trust place literally up the hill from the house. Its lovely. My only complaint, and I’m being very picky is it’s advertised as a dog friendly stay. But dogs aren’t allowed upstairs. For most people this many not be a problem but if you’re like us and your dog sleeps in your bed at home this was alittle bit of a pain but we worked around it. Still rate the stay 5 stars over all and definitely recommend it. P.s. I’m sure the dogs not up stairs is somewhere in the description but I missed it. Thanks!

Amazing place to stay, peaceful, cosy, and enchanting. everything provided for there wasn't anything they had not thought of. Great seatiing outside by a river with a hottub and summer house to relax in. kitchen was perfectly equipped, with milk left in the fridge for a coffee on arrival. the beds are super comfy. The whole place is as described but can't portray how clean, relaxing, and thoughtful this place is. it made our night away with young children a breeze. Will definitely be returning. Maddie and Sarah were very quick to respond to any questions and were super friendly. instructions on app were great. they really have nailed it. perfect get-away.
