Beautiful apartment in a perfect location. Unbelievable shopping and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to the metro and all the Rome sites. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome.

The apartment was very large - worked well for our family, consisting of seven adults (1 older parent couple, two adult children couples, 1 single adult) s. The unit consisted basically of two apartments with 2 living rooms and kitchens- the lay out was a bit strange but very roomy. One of the bathrooms was a bit more difficult to use but the other four were all fine. Unfortunately, the two living rooms were connected through one of the nicer bedrooms (with ensuite bath) so that room was not very useful or private. Given the price, we would not have expected the "nickel and diming" about early check in fees when it was vacant the night before (not listed in the description and ultimately waived) as well as other services they offered (expensive tours, etc). The mid-stay cleaning (free) was a nice touch, as well as the yummy goodies they provided (pannetone, chocolates, cookies). We had a great Christmas week in Rome - apartment was close to Spanish Steps, designer stores, metro.

I originally booked the 4 bdrm Leone IV but about 4 days before arriving StayRomac contacted me that the apartment was not available due to maintenance issues. They went above and beyond to provide a larger accommodation. Luckily Leone V was in the same building and just as beautiful. The location was fantastic. It’s in the high end Spanish Steps area surrounded by shops and restaurants but very quiet at night. Lots of natural light in the living rooms. The place is historic and full of antiques. Very large bedrooms with large closets and bathrooms Our checkin host provided great communication and answered a couple of questions promptly. WiFi worked well and there is a digital house manual. The house manual needs a little more detail on how to operate the washer/dryer but we figured it out. Heating worked well for the winter months. Prices are high in Rome now for vacation rentals but I would highly recommend this place for large groups if you go in low season.

We travelled as a group of friends and Rome was our last destination. The apartments were perfect (if you want to be in the heart of the historic area); spacious, clean, comfortable, and grand. Walking distance to main sights. Overall, we loved it. I would’ve given it 5 stars across the board, except that the air conditioning in the one apartment/one side (the one with most of the bedrooms) wasn’t working. We noted it within an hour or so of arriving. A repair person was sent. He was there for a bit but left without having fixed it. Despite noting it again, it wasn’t repaired and fans were not provided. It was hot and stuffy (particularly in the bedrooms), even with the windows open. Plus, having to try to sleep with the windows open meant significant street noise, which you otherwise wouldn’t hear. As long as the air conditioning is working or the temperature is low enough that you don’t need it (or fans are provided), this is a perfect place to stay for a large family or group.
