Everyone in our group - and a few of them are pretty picky - absolutely loved Elaine's house. There are beautiful views (including Mt. Hood and the Columbia River), the house is new and well-built, the kitchen is well-equipped, the rooms are filled with light, the layout is great, the furniture is comfortable, the decor is tasteful, and... well, you get the idea -we liked it. We were a bit concerned about it being close to Hwy. 14, but with the great windows and good insulation, we didn't hear it at all. Elaine is a very responsive and friendly host. I highly recommend this lovely home.

We have stayed at numerous Airbnb and other accommodations but this was absolutely the best!!! The house was all that was promised and more, and the hosts had it stocked to the max from fully-stocked kitchen, games, personal items and even wood for an outdoor fireplace. House rules were simple and clearly outlined. Absolute jewel of an experience!!!!! We are definitely a repeat visitor!

Elaine's place up in the Columbia Gorge in Lyle WA ticked all the boxes for a great family weekend retreat. The house was very well decorated and furnished. We made a couple of great meals in their kitchen. The view from the porch was of Mt Hood and was a million $ view. Elaine's was very conveniently located for our family. 15 minutes one way was a 5 mile hike to overlook the Columbia river - beautiful. 15 minutes in the other direction was the Maryhill winery, and 15 minutes in the 3rd direction was The Dalles to pick up anything we forgot to bring along. Great place and we all had a good time.
