Casey House enjoys spectacular views of Bere Island and Bantry Bay with comfortable sleeping capacity for up to 10 people and this house will accommodate large families or friend groups. There is ample seating and a variety of reception rooms and dining areas.

This is a great house for children – they will love exploring it and will have lots of room to play indoors and outdoors with toys, books and board games included. During some times of the year sheep are present in the field immediately below the house which is interesting for young children.
There are also gates to the property which means they can have freedom to play outside within a secure area.
Where wheelchair accessibility is required, there is a beautifully designed ground floor king size bedroom with a private ensuite accessible bathroom.
From this bedroom there are wide, double French doors that provide access to a large private patio with scenic views of Bere Island and Bantry Bay.
Wheelchair access in to the house is via a ramp with wide double-door access in to the Sun Room.
Externally, there is ample car parking for several cars. There is a large playing area/field next to the house and with the vehicle gates closed, this is fully fenced in.
The house is just 3km from Castletownbere, the largest fishing port in Ireland. Castletownbere is well served with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pubs and is on the famous Wild Atlantic Way. The location is great as a base for exploring the whole Beara peninsular with the towns and villages of Allihies, Eyeries, Glengarriff and Kenmare all worth visiting in addition to Castletownbere.
The other focal point is the town's many characterful bars in particular MacCarthy's Bar in the centre of the town. Anyone who has read Pete MacCarthy's best-selling book on Ireland 'MacCarthy's Bar' will instantly recognise the bar in Castletownbere that features on the front cover of the book. Though there may be a few more tourists than before, you'll be pleased to know it has changed little since Pete MacCarthy visited. One half of the bar still sells groceries, they still do great ham and cheese toasties and it still pulls a great pint!
Golfing: There are three golf course's in the immediate area, a links course at Berehaven Golf Club the nearest. There is Bantry Bay Golf Club which is open to visitors and I am told there are stunning views across the bay at many of the holes. There is another golf course at Glengarriff which is a 9 hole park land course with terrific views across Glengarrif Harbour.
Kayaking: There is a wonderful Kayaking centre in Adrigole, and there are wonderful beaches to Kayak in Garnish, Adrigole

The house is 3km from the centre of Castletownbere and with so much to see on the Beara peninsular, a car is advisable.
There are local taxi companies that easily provide trips in to and out of town.

There are beautiful local walks straight out from the house. These include walks up the hills and down to the sea. More details will be provided upon booking and are available in the property.
