I would return here in a heartbeat! The house had so much character and history associated with it. Caoimhe was a friendly and supportive host. The house had everything we needed and a few things we had not even thought of. The views are spectacular. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. You could see the stars at night. The birds were singing. A pheasant was a frequent visitor to our yard. We were able to totally relax and take in the beautiful sunsets over the water. Rerrin, where the ferry docks is a short walk. Sadly, many of the stores and pubs were closed as it was off season, and yet there was plenty to do and see. Caoimhe had provided a map of the island with walks and monuments notated. Murphy's Store provided us with provisions. The house was quite comfortable for the two of us, but would be appropriate for larger groups. All of the rooms had en suite toilettes and showers. The water pressure was great, showers warm, and the bed comfortable.

It's hard to write an accurate review of our stay at The Admiral's House because there aren't quite enough words to describe how magical it was. Everything about this place is as magical as it looks! Caoimhe was an absolutely incredible host who went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was the best it could be! The house had everything we could have possibly needed, including all the amenities (an en suite in every room was a huge bonus!). The location was calm and beautiful, truly the perfect getaway spot, and everyone we met during our stay on Bere Island was incredibly sweet and excited to chat. We felt very welcome! The Admiral's House is a special place and was worth every moment we spent there. Thank you, Caoimhe, for making our stay one of our favourite memories!

We had such a special stay in Caoimhe's house, what a gem, perfect for our group of friends having a catch up, the views are just so stunning, the location next to the ferry is so handy, the house is old and full of character, the beds were so comfortable and having so many bathrooms was a treat and there was plenty of hot water. Our group were making plans to stay again as soon as we arrived!

Lovely big old house ,very well equipped with kitchen utensils,extra blankets etc. Beds comfortable and bed linen crisp and clean. Plenty of space for everyone. Gorgeous view from house.
