Misleading description as this is a shabby apartment attached to a luxury house. Whilst you have use of the facilities the apartment itself did not live up to description. As for the location it has direct access to the beach which is truly breathtaking. The communication with Pascal prior to visit was first class and answered all questions promptly. Overall the location and the pool where excellent. The description suggests a whole luxury villa, when in reality it was a fairly shabby apartment within a luxury house. It is not suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues due to the steep stairs (with no railings) both to get into the apartment and to get to the pool and beach. The bedroom doors do not fit properly, meaning that they are very hard to open and close. It is not adequately set up for self catering as only two small pots were available and only 5 dinner plates.

La Mansion directly on Dutch Bay ... super nice location with direct access to the beach. The villa is very nice and well maintained ..great pool…there is also a tv room with huge tv where you can watch Netflix. also a billiard room. Miriam is the good soul of the house and makes you a breakfast every morning, which is very delicious! She also made me a dinner, I have to say one of the best I ate in Sri Lanka. I can definitely recommend the accommodation

We had booked this as we had thought we would have the whole place to ourselves and after being in hotels and home stays for a month we needed some privacy and thought this would be the case. However despite our requests before our stay informing the host we didn’t need the housekeeper on site and further requests during our stay this didn’t happen. The first day we had to wait until 17:30 to get some privacy and then the following day we had further intrusions on our privacy albeit for an hour or so and then finally waking up at 06:30 one morning to find the housekeeper on site. This ultimately resulted in never knowing when the housekeeper would be there and ruined our privacy never knowing if our space would be interrupted and the feeling of privacy ruined. After all we asked beforehand and during our stay but never really got a response from the host. If you are someone whom needs or wants a housekeeper on site then this will suit but if you want privacy you will be disappointed.
