Azenhas do Mar is a beautiful little village by the Atlantic Ocean, just about a 40 minute drive from Lisbon and 10 min drive from Sintra.
Its cliff-hanging houses are a popular postcard image for Portugal. And its beautiful natural ocean pool is a true gem not to be missed.

Despite its size, the village has a well-developed infrastructure, with restaurants, cafés and supermarkets. It´s closeness to other towns/villages and to some of the best beaches of Portugal, makes it an attractive home-base for one´s holidays.

Travelling by car is the best way to come to Azenhas do Mar as it enables you to go easily around the neighbouring cities and beaches. However there is a bus few times per hour from Sintra and with patience you can also catch an UBER.

Azenhas do Mar itself is small, therefore walking around the village is a perfect activity. And no car needed if you just want to rest and walk around the nature for few days.
