This home was close to everything in Sitka. You could walk everywhere. It was very clean, very well appointed and has wonderful views. Lots of natural light also. We can't imagine staying anywhere else if we went back to Sitka. One of the owners lives downstairs and he (Kent) was extremely friendly and helpful. The world needs more hosts/people like this. Stay here and you will go home smiling.
We had a lovely stay here. The house is in a great location, walkable to everything. We enjoyed our morning coffee looking out on the harbor and the beautiful mountains. The layout was perfect for us with 4 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need, and the whole place was very clean. Michael and Barbara were very responsive and answered our questions quickly. This was a perfect place for us to stay in Sitka. We will be back!
Michael and Barbara are great hosts! Well kept for a historic Home. Understanding and over all makes you feel like family. We will definitely stay again in the near future! Recommend 10 out of 10

自我介绍
The Emmons house is owned by the Bovee family. Parents Chuck and Edie moved to Sitka in 1970 with their five children (Michelle, Michael, Kent, Mark, and Spence) and both worked at Sheldon Jackson College before it became the home of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. They were active in the community and were very supportive of many programs that are still part of the Sitka experience today, such as the Sitka Summer Music Festival, Sitka Fine Arts Camp, and the salmon hatchery program at the Sitka Science Center. Chuck and Edie moved to a retirement home in San Diego in 2015 and their children took over the management of their house. While our parents lived in this house, they always enjoyed opening their home to friends and visitors so they could enjoy Sitka. We are pleased to continue this tradition and hope you make as many lasting memories as we have throughout the years. – Michael & Barbara Bovee
