This is our third time staying here and we’ll keep coming back as long as we can! The home is beautiful, peaceful, and furnished with love and care. The beds and linens are cozy and every window is a perfect picture frame to the most beautiful scenery in Alaska. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Book it. This is a phenomenal place to stay in Sitka. All of the beds are very comfortable and private and there are lots of convertible bonus rooms. The kitchen is also well equipped with pots, pans, etc. as well as spices. We look forward to staying here again!

From the upper level wrap-around porch to the private beach, it’s impossible to choose your favorite spot to watch the sunset! The entire property inside and out is pure whimsical wonder that no video or photo could ever fully capture. ✨ I had the privilege of staying at the Stone Lantern House together with 10 of our dearest childhood friends from Anchorage, Alaska. We arrived to find beautiful kimonos hanging in each room for us and they also helped arrange kayak rentals and a mobile sauna so we could take full advantage of our private beach. We watched juvenile eagles feed in the morning, listened to rushing of the tides in silent awe, paddle boarded next to sea lions at sunset and cried when had to say goodbye. If you’re thinking about a trip to Alaska, this magical spot is obviously a ding ding ding!

If you want the full Alaska experience this is the place to stay. Bald eagles and the ocean is the view out of every window. Absolutely stunning!
