The pool was beautiful and the house had lots of potential but we were surprised that some basics weren’t there. We had to buy toilet paper, soap, dishwasher tablets, shampoo, shower gel, washing machine liquid after we arrived. Until we went shopping there was no soap to wash our hands with. The laundry was welcome but was very cluttered. The bedding was adequate but certainly not luxurious. One hard pillow each was disappointing. They could definitely do with new pillows. Some found the mattress very firm. Some showers didn’t drain very well. Some showers had mould. The garden was neglected. The BBQ needed cleaning before we used it. The dishwasher was difficult to start and the lights remained a mystery. The couches were great for lying on but uncomfortable for sitting. For one room the air conditioning was very noisy. The layout of the place was good. Despite all the above we had a good week but it could have been better. We enjoyed the local town nearby.
Loved our stay. The Villa is more stunning than the photos. It's such a perfect stay for multiple people as everyone has a private bathroom and all rooms have their own special charm. Just be careful with GPS maps...it may lead you to the middle of the town! I hope to stay there again...highly recommend
Cette maison est un havre de paix (exepté les chiens des voisins). Vue sur le village au loin, les oliviers, amandiers et bien d'autres arbres entour la maison. Dès notre arrivée on s'est senti en vacances.
*** NO HOT WATER *** Host charged us £271 for cleaning and £189 for a 24 /7 service that was non existent. We had no hot water during the duration of our stay. We notified the host on the first night and they sent someone to come tell us there was 30 litres of hot water in the property. Nothing was fixed. Having 1 min showers before the water went cold was what we experienced the entire duration of our stay. We notified the host again on the 2nd night of our stay that the hot water was still an issue. They ignored us the whole day and ended up sending us an email that they were now out of the office for 2 weeks !! When we left the property, we left a few dishes in the sink which we thought the £271 cleaning fee would cover. The host is trying to claim a additional £80 for cleaning. EXTORTION !!! On top of this, they made us pay £25 per person to rent Ikea towels and linen. Don't charge premiums and added fees if you can't deliver a premium service. Dishes, cutlery, cups and utensils were dirty and dusty. We had to wash everything before we used them. The Trullis were very cute but they bathrooms had a bad odour and the drains in the sinks clogged ** Terrible experience ** ** Poorly managed property ** ** No Hot Water - No Communication **
Brindisi
is the capital of the Brindisi Province and it is situated along the
southern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The city is located between the
deep inlets which make Brindisi one of the most important natural
ports in the Mediterranean Sea. Brindisi has very ancient origins and
its historic relevance is proved by the direct connection to Rome
through the Via Appia, the first cobbled road in the Roman Empire.
The
city still remains a major harbour for trade with Greece and the
Middle East, but of the Roman Brindisi very little has unfortunately
left: of the two Roman Columns, which marked the end of the Via
Appia, only one still remains since the other was donated by the
citizens of Brindisi to the city of Lecce as a pedestal for the
Statue of the saint patron S. Oronzo.
The
Column is located at the top of a staircase facing the citys
harbour and it introduces to the heart of the city for a visit to the
Cathedral, its square, the charming promenades flanked with shops,
caf, bars and fish restaurants. Walking along the waterfront
(Lungomare) it is possible to admire some characteristic features of
Brindisi such as the imposing building erected after the First World
War as an Italian Navy War Memorial and a castle of great scenic
impact situated on one side of the harbour; another fascinating
fortress is located at the mouth of the port (Forte a Mare). Both
castles are a fine example of an eventful past of the city, even if
its most important period was between 1943 and 1944, when Brindisi
became the Capital of Italy for five months.
The
litoral is mainly rocky with little inlets but a few kilometers north
of the city the coast becomes sandy with the long beaches of Torre
Guaceto, an important wetland large about 1000 hectars, now WWF
natural protected area.
The
inland is particularly appreciated for its unique Valle D'Itria
setting, the marvellous Ostuni (known as the Citt Bianca for
its white charming houses) and the suggestive Cisternino, a natural
balcon overlooking the plains until the city of Taranto.
