Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on our 300+acre Certified Organic farm. Guests can use our river frontage to fish, canoe, kayak, tube, or gather by the fire pit. We have mountain views, dark night skies revealing stars, planets, and the Milky Way, plus great sunsets. Wildlife includes deer, fox, bear, turkey, eagles, and owls, to name only a few. Lots of History here: site of a French & Indian fort, an early Indian Burial Mound, and the Hosts' historic plantation home. Built in 1832, this 2 story log and chink structure may be a challenge for anyone over 6'5"... people were shorter back then! The 1st floor is an open concept space. Two comfy couches surround a stone fireplace with lots of room for gathering, relaxing, playing games, and watching movies on the Smart TV. Our kitchen boasts a large island, dishwasher, French door refrigerator/freezer, electric stove and modern appliances. Chat with the cook as you sit on a stool at the bar before eating around our handmade table inside or carrying your plate out to the porch or to the brick patio. Head upstairs to find a huge open space bedroom with vaulted ceiling, a California King bed, dresser, another comfy couch & 2nd Smart TV. Enjoy our 4' x 5' shower with bench seat and antique vanity. Whether you Float, Fish, or Frolic at the farm...our washing machine might come in handy, too.
