Secluded cabin tucked back in a hollow. Small creek trickles down the middle of the property. Access the Over Mountain Victory Trail from the property. Walk the trail to Fonta Flora Brewing (1.3 Miles). A short drive to the Fonta Flora Trail and the Linville Gorge via 105. Mountain bike, hike, swim, canoe and kayak at Lake James State Park. Rent a boat to enjoy beautiful Lake James. Morganton and Marion are about 25 minutes away. Asheville and Boone are about 1 hour away. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds. The sofa has a queen pullout couch. This is a small house and would probably be most comfortable for 4 but If you don't mind a sleeper sofa in the living room there is room for 6. There are 2 TV's and internet access. There is a coffee bar set up in the dining room. There is a traditional pot and a Keurig. We are secluded from other houses. The Over Mountain Victory Trail is located up a steep trail from our yard. If you take a left (right is private property) it will take you to the Fonta Flora Brewery in 1.3 miles and to the Lake James State Park in 2.2 miles.

Pretty much the perfect location in Nebo, trail access behind the cabin made it beyond worth it. Just couple min walk on trail to see great view of the mountains and Shortoff mountain in a grass area which was big and made it the pefect spot to throw the ball with our dog. The trail also connects to lots of great trails in Lake James state park if you plan on running or biking. It was less than a 10 min drive to lake James state park, lake and marina, and only 20 min to Shortoff trail which everyone should do if your staying here it was stunning. Had everything we needed, towels, soap, dishes, etc.
Great little place. We had an event at Flora Fonta Brewery and Lake James State Park and this place was so close and convenient. We knew ahead of time to bring our groceries as stores and restaurants are not nearby. Coffee and coffee supplies provided. I just brought my favorite creamer. Plenty of kitchen supplies to make our breakfasts and dinners. This place was nice and quiet - we were able to have a fire in the fire pit one evening and just wished we had remembered the marshmallows!! Our hosts were responsive to all our questions. We will definitely choose to stay here for our next event in the area.
Trails end is a very special place. The house is cozy and welcoming and feels like home. We enjoyed access to trails right out the door as well as many major hiking venues a short drive away. The cabin is located in a very peaceful and private area so it’s perfect for those needing a quiet break from busy lives. I wouldn’t change a thing and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed!
WOW! What a great stay. The house is located down a very private road in a peaceful little valley. The house was spotless with a lot of 1950s charm! This house is at the end of a trail with its own access & that was a great amenity! For my family, this was the best stay at an AirBNB we have ever had! Thank you for the wonderful stay & hospitality!
Sweet, clean little house. The home is actually much nicer and more modern than the pictures and very well cared for. Highly recommend for anyone hoping to be close to Lake James and great hiking.

We are located in a small neighborhood on a one way gravel road in the Lake James Community of Nebo, NC. We are in very close proximity to the lake and all its amenities, Lake James State Park, The Linville Gorge, and hundreds of miles of public trails.
There is enough parking for three cars. The cabin is located in a very small residential neighborhood and many of our neighbors have lived here for many years and enjoy their privacy so please stay on our property. The nearest grocery stores are located in Marion or Morganton so you might want to stock up prior to arrival. There is a Dollar General about 7.5 miles away where you can get basic groceries. There is a food truck at Fonta Flora Brewery (1.3 mi) that serves amazing pizza. Mica Town Brewing (7.3 mi) often hosts food trucks. Slices Bistro (5.7 mi), located at the Marion Lake Club, also has great food and is now offering breakfast 7 days a week.
