Enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse over the Christmas holidays. Check-in process was quick and easy and there were some nice treats in the kitchen awaiting our arrival - a lovely touch. Cottage is warm and inviting, with a beautiful view of the lake. Johanna had the Christmas tree set up and it was perfect for my toddler son to enjoy during our stay. We had a bonfire near the water one evening, and we were also happy to enjoy the fireplace, large sofa and television in the open-concept space when we were indoors. House was clean and had everything we needed. Communicating with Johanna was easy and she was always quick to respond. She made us feel right at home. Overall it's a lovely space and location on the water, and we had a terrific experience during our winter getaway.

It is a beautiful, relaxing cottage on the lake in which to enjoy the serenity of an Ontario fall. The place was lovely, with very comfortable beds and an extremely well equipped kitchen that was by far the best we've ever encountered at an Airbnb. Many extra details were provided, making us feel right at home. Contact with the owners was quick and efficient and any issues were dealt with immediately. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return soon.

Johanna takes "well-appointed" to another level. They put care in thinking of amenities that guests might need. We enjoyed the deck and its features as well as sitting by the water, watching the sun set by the bon fire. The cottage is really a nice comfortable space for six people - how the cottage was laid out created great hangout times and conversation. A great summer vacation place.

Just returned home from a wonderful week stay at The Lakehouse in Lakefield. The Lakehouse was beautiful! Very comfortable and extremely clean. We felt right at home!The place was so well equipped we missed nothing from home. The location was perfect, very peaceful surroundings yet very close to the village of Lakefield. We will definitely be back!

What a great, peaceful, comfortable spot in a great location for our family over Christmas this year. Clean and nicely appointed cottage and esp. kitchen. Hosts were responsive and friendly and flexible. Very good value rental.
