Your private entrance on the side of the house takes you upstairs to our light-filled 2nd floor apartment that was renovated in 2022. Sleeping 4? The comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room paired with light-blocking shades and door to the room provide privacy not typically found when sleeping in the living room! The living room also has a large closet, 47" TV with Roku, and board games stored in the entertainment center. Need to get some work done? We have a dedicated workspace where you can put your head down and focus. Sleep like a baby in the queen-sized bed at the back of the house with light-blocking curtains and super soft linens. We have plenty of storage for long-term guests with the closet and dresser. Looking for something to read? Check out our little library in the nightstands - take a book/leave a book! Coffee, tea, espresso, or cappuccino? We've got you covered. The kitchen is furnished with lots of cooking goodies if you plan to prepare some meals and you can comfortably seat 4 in the eat-in kitchen. Walk to 2 neighborhood farmer's markets on Saturday morning to snag some fresh eggs, pastries, and seasonal product. Forgot your shampoo? No worries, the bathroom is stocked with all the essentials and has a soaking tub if you'd like to take a bath. A concrete patio out back has dining for 4 and charcoal Weber grill. We also have a wood-burning fire pit. Please note the concrete patio is a shared space with the lower level apartment. Location? We're less than a 15 min drive to the Kentucky Expo Center, downtown Louisville, and the airport. When reading our reviews, you'll see we have rave reviews when it comes to cleanliness. We are not a large management company and this is the only Airbnb that we operate. We do all of the cleaning ourselves, and our cleaning standards are very high! You respecting our no shoes rules also greatly helps in keeping the apartment clean - thank you!
Host was great and provided local recommendations. Acommodations were clean and as-advertised. Clear and easy instructions. Wonderful-stay!
This place is perfect in every way, and Bethany is the ideal host, very thoughtful and kind. Our family of four especially enjoyed the outdoor charcoal grill and sitting around the fire pit. The charming apartment is immaculate and has everything you could need and more. We would definitely stay here again should our travels bring us back to Louisville.
Bethany’s place was very clean and comfortable. She had a book of instructions and recommendations broken down by meals and desserts. We ended up going to one of the cafes the next day for pastries! We really enjoyed our stay in Louisville.
The Highlands is a lively area known for its nightlife and dining, with brewpubs and karaoke bars alongside pizzerias and celebrity chef eateries on Bardstown Road. Shopping spans quirky indie fashion and handcrafted leather goods to bookshops and artisan bakeries. The Louisville Zoo features camel rides and a splash park, while nearby Cherokee Park has a scenic loop trail with a lake, rolling hills and bucolic forest.
The area is as eclectic as it is charming. You’ll find Victorian homes and turn-of-the-century architecture along quiet streets, just off bustling Bardstown Road, which is truly a people-watching paradise. Sit in a coffee shop or café and see business people, creative types, families and skateboarders gliding past.
The Highlands has been a foodie haven for decades. Our long-time staple, Jack Fry’s, is a favorite for locals and visitors. You can also spy celebrity chef Anthony Lamas whipping up Latin delights at Seviche.
If you’re in the mood for a more casual evening, this neighborhood is teeming with great pizza joints and pubs. (The garlic butter soaked breadsticks at Impellizzeri’s are to die for.)
A bus stop is just at the end of the block and there are multiple places on Bardstown Rd where you can rent a bike, scooter or moped. Our address also boasts a walking score of 90!
