Set overlooking open countryside Grace Barn is a welcoming base from which to discover of the beautiful Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. This cosy two bedroom detached barn conversion is a comfortable place to relax, unwind or explore some of the incredible countryside around you. Grace Barn is an upside down property, the lounge and kitchen being upstairs , enjoying beautiful rural views and the bedrooms downstairs. There is a large double bedroom and a twin bedded room. Upstairs there is a bathroom with shower over the bath and toilet. Downstairs there is a utility/bathroom, with washing machine and tumble dryer, a shower cubicle and a toilet. Outside there is a private patio and flowerbed area with a garden table and seats. There is plenty of off road parking at the property.

Lovely immaculate upside down cottage with views of country side but near the town for shopping etc Janet was very friendly and helpful Lots of leaflets and maps about places to visit in the area

Booked for our employees who unfortunately only stopped the one night in the end but Janet was very accommodating to this and very kindly offered to refund us 1 night. Our employees tell me that Janet's place was lovely and they would definitely return. Janet as a host was great, always responsive and very helpful. Thankyou! x

My family had a great stay, really spotlessly clean. Homely and warm, a nice place for a quiet weekend away. Communication was great, a helpful folder with everything we needed to know. I cooked on the second night and I was very impressed that all the appliances needed were available and more.

We are located on the outskirts of the village of Mitcheldean with easy access to the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley providing opportunities for walking and cycling. We are adjacent to and have beautiful views over, fields and agricultural land.
We are well served by fast food outlets and local convenience shops and a small supermarket.
There are 2 local pubs in Mitcheldean. There are Pubs which serve food in Blaisdon and Longhope, neighbouring villages.
There is an artisan bakery in the next village of Longhope.
We are opposite the local secondary school, which may mean that on week days during term time, the road is busy between 8.15-8.45am and 3.15-3.45 pm.

This is a rural area and public transport is limited. We recommend that a car is necessary for getting here and for exploring the area around.
We have plenty of off road parking at Grace Barn.
There are several council car parks in the Forest of Dean for tourists which are pay and display.
