Alabaster Lodge is a detached lodge, built in 2023, situated on the owner’s 14-acre working farm. Set within the Wye Valley AONB with fabulous far reaching views of the rolling countryside. Warm and cosy, with full central heating, the lodge is an all year round destination for cyclists, walkers and nature enthusiasts. Uninterrupted views of the Wye Valley, where you can catch sight of birds of prey, including the beautiful red kites who can often be seen hovering over the fields on the farm. All on one floor with open plan living space with a well equipped kitchen including double oven, microwave, dishwasher, full sized fridge freezer and wine cooler. LPG central heating and electric log burner make this a warm and cosy retreat all year round. The lounge area has a 50" smart TV and two comfortable sofa's to rest and relax. There are 2 bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and smart TV. 1 of the bedrooms has a zip and link bed so can be converted to twin beds if needed. Bed linen and towels provided.

Wonderful accommodation with beautiful views. Caroline was a lovely host, welcoming and friendly. The cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.
We loved our stay at Caroline's place - the lodge had everything we needed for a really comfortable and relaxing holiday. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfy and the shower is excellent. Our dog also had a great time and the enclosed garden was a massive plus. The views over the hills were wonderful and we loved watching the chickens too! Caroline was very friendly and helpful, while letting us enjoy our holiday in peace. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
Having read the reviews we were expecting good things. We weren't disappointed, this is definitely one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. The lodge is done to a very high standard and was spotless! We had such a relaxing break as a family and the lodge was perfect to come back and relax after a busy day! Caroline has thought of everything and was a great host, we would highly recommend!
A lovely long weekend as 4 adults, having two bathrooms was ideal. The kitchen and bathrooms are done to a fantastic standard. The kitchen is so well equipped and Caroline leant us something we needed that wasn't there. Caroline was very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back.
Possibly the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. Perfect for two couples and two dogs. Well equipped kitchen, living space and bedrooms with comfy beds and well pressured showers. Felt really clean and homely. Caroline is absolutely lovely and very responsive and willing to help. The electric fireplace was extremely cosy for a very wet few days away. Would recommend without hesitation.

The lodge is set in a rural location but with excellent access to local amenities and just 15 minutes from the towns of Ross-On-Wye and Monmouth. Ideally situated for the many miles of cycle tracks and walking in the stunning Forest of Dean.
