The Forge is a beautiful house that has been carefully and tastefully restored. High quality fitting in the kitchen and bathrooms and comfortable ,spacious bedrooms with lovely bed linen. The host Leigh generously left dishwasher tabs, tea/coffee and a lovely cake to welcome us which was very thoughtful. We totally enjoyed our stay .
Prompt and pleasant communication from Leigh. Lovely touch to have a delicious cake left for us to have with our cuppa on our arrival. The cottage was exactly like the pictures. Cottage was very clean throughout. Large bedrooms and comfy beds with ample storage. Great to have a dining room with the table for the 5 of us to sit to eat and play games, and chill on the large sofas in the comfy lounge. No time for us to enjoy the garden, but great size for children to play in. Loved the fact that we had views of fields from both the front and back upstairs rooms. We would book again when we’re next in the area.
We had a wonderful stay at the Old Forge. It was beautifully clean and very comfortable. The rooms were a great size and very homely. Leigh was a great communicator and any requests or questions were answered promptly and politely. There was a most delicious fruit cake waiting for us when we arrived, which was very much appreciated and a kind touch. If we are ever long to stay in this area again I would definitely choose to stay here.
Had a lovely family stay. The cottage was clean and welcoming and as described. Beautiful location and great if you want to explore the countryside and local area.
A wonderful rural getaway and a helpful responsive host. We had a lovely time and Leigh was very accommodating!
