We had a great time in Brambles at Edward and Maureen’s place. Edward was very helpful from the moment of booking right through to check out time. Although the property was a little smaller than it appeared in the photos it turned out to be a very comfortable stay for our family of 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. It was a lovely setting with plenty to do nearby. The welcome basket was a nice touch with a loaf of some of the best homemade bread we’ve had. The flapjacks were amazing too. Would thoroughly recommend staying here either as a couples getaway or a short family break. Great hosts and lovely property.

We’ve just come back home after staying for seven days at Brambles Cottage. It’s a wonderful place to stay with plenty of room and the most gorgeous views. If you have a dog, they will love it as they can roam around the huge space around the cottage. For children, there is plenty of exploring to be done, as well as unlimited trampolining! If you can drag yourselves away, go and explore the beautiful Wye Valley, especially if you can do it via canoe on the river! Thank you Edward - it was a great holiday.

We stayed in the lovely Bramble’s Barn, plenty of space for 4 people and 1 dog. It is a great layout and design. I was delighted and grateful for the homemade hamper left for us and the few essentials left in the fridge. Edward offered great advice for the local area and showed us how to use all the amenities, he was easily available if we needed anything. He recommended local places, restaurants and shops. The private 12 acre fields were beautiful and perfect for our dog walks, wellies needed on wetter weather months. A BBQ and pizza oven were available if wanted with wood provided. The gardens are shared between 3 rentals, but each as an outside private area too. 1 cottage is completely wheelchair friendly and all have emergency pull alarms which probably go back to Edward’s main house (but I would ask just in case). There is a Sophie and cafe in the closest village which is dog friendly, and provided breakfast and essentials for the few days. We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful location. The welcome hamper which included home made bread and flapjacks was fabulous. Edward, Marion and Bells (the dog) were all very welcoming. The location was well located to visit the Wye Valley, Monmouth and Forest of Dean. The fields surrounding the cottage were fantastic for dog walking and made our stay hassle free.
