Great location to see everything. You need Google Maps to find the place. He didn’t advise us that there was a boat regata - so we went to take the 8am boat and it never came? We ended up flagging down a water taxi and paying 220e to get to the airport. The shower faucet was dripping, there were burnt out lights and dark in the kitchen especially. The main bed was comfortable. The washer didn’t wring the clothes enough and some never dried after 2 days. Very spacious kitchen and living room. Nice decor.

This is our third time at Lorenzo's place. If you are hesitant to visit Venice because of the crowds, this is your answer. The immediate area is quiet, mostly locals. It is a short walk to the Bienale Venues and a medium walk to St. Mark's. The apartment has large doors that open out just a few feet above a quiet canal...no gondolas, just locals boating to and from work with the occasional taxi Lorenzo is responsive and helpful. We will be back in two years if not sooner.

We love everything about Lorenzo’s place. Situated in a quiet neighborhood with 2-minute walk to a local restaurant, 5-minute walk to a fruit/vegetable shop, one enjoys convenience of genuine Venetian daily life, and easy/near access to Arsenale, ideal for visiting the Biennale, or going further to see the grand water front next to Saint Marco. The house itself is as beautiful as photo shows, and we really appreciate the interior decor and quality of furniture. Lorenzo was helpful and responsive. On two occasions I had to ask him for help, one of which was due to my own negligence, and Lorenzo answer the phone right away and conducted effective solutions. Monica, the neighbor across the door was extremely warm, kind and helpful as well. If one is searching for quiet and genuine Venetian vibe, and an owner one can always count on, Lorenzo’s is the one. One last thing: the canal is just outside the sitting room. What’s better to look for? We wanna come back already! Julian
