Absolutely lovely stay! I just wish it was longer! Safe and peaceful neighborhood with a location that can’t be beat ; across from one of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve been to in this part of the world. I felt very welcome and comfortable at Hyrum’s place. I booked a very last minute two night stay to bridge me to another long term booking, and Hyrum was quick to action to ensure the place was ready to their standards even with the short notice. The only recommendation I can make for the communication process from booking to check in would be fewer (or consolidated) automatically generated messages with all of the information needed through check in. I personally just had a bit of trouble finding the information I needed (that I know I had seen in one of the prior messages) during a hectic travel day. I cannot recommend this place enough for a truly serene escape. It will be my go-to spot for any future stays in Southern Maryland!

Love staying at this spot! It’s 5 minutes from the stores and restaurants in Prince Frederick, but tucked away in a wooded neighborhood overlooking the bay with access to miles of beach. The hosts have been super responsive on both of my stays, which has made it less stressful, especially around checkout time when cleaning up. BOOK IT!

Beautiful cottage with plenty of room. Nestled on the hill you feel at peace, birds chirping, not much traffic at all, very quiet and serene. The deck is nice to sit and drink a cup of coffee on in the morning watching the sun rise! The little private beach was perfect, great find for a few shells and shark teeth. House very clean, plenty of linens, towels. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

They were super responsive to our late booking request after noon on the day of. They quickly responded and got the space all ready while we went out to dinner. It’s a great cottage, with what would be a highly sought-after spot if you’re into to fossil hunting like myself. We had a great stay, and will definitely return for longer next time!

We loved our week-long stay at Shewell's Cottage by the Shore. Hyrum and Lisa are some of the friendliest and welcoming host's I've ever met. They're so communicative and go out of their way to make your stay lovely. From all the little details like mints on our pillows, welcome treats for our dogs, setting up the fireplace, and other cute details. The cottage itself is a tranquil getaway where you can hear the water from the porch, with all the amenities listed. It's clean, cozy, and cute as a button. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, cooking together, and walking down to the beach with our doggos. I could not recommend a stay with them more! Thank you for the wonderful experience.
