Jesse's place was the perfect location for a friend's group trip to see the total solar eclipse in Maine in April 2024. We watched it overlooking the pond outside. The kitchen is well equipped and a great gathering place. The bedrooms were simple but comfortable. Jesse is a great host, very responsive and answered all our questions and concerns immediately. The house definitely has character and a unique history. Traffic noise outside was a bit much, but there was more traffic due to the eclipse. The area is beautiful and we would have loved to have more time to explore Moosehead Lake and the towns around us. We'll just have to come back in the summer. It's a great home base for hiking and day trips.

we absolutely loved the home. The history of the house and grounds is amazing. we were able to see deer walking next to the house and in the woods behind the house.

We had a group of 5 visit this area for a snowmobiling trip. Extremely convenient to trail access points and great proximity to Greenville and Moosehead Lake. Easily one of the best places our group has stayed. A ton of space nice long driveway. Our group is already planning our next trip to this home and we can’t wait

A functionally rustic farm house. Great kitchen for our 5 week stay. There is a massive dual sink that makes dishes easy. A restaurant style range for cooking. All of the counter and space you could ever want for servicing and cooking. I did not use the utensils but there appeared to be enough to solve the problem. There is enough caster iron to cook for 15 people easily. It was a perfect location for us because we were driving weekends to all parts of Maine so we wanted a central location and this fit perfectly. If you have never experienced a rural location before, you may want to research some of the normal issues you will encounter as they are not house specific. It is close to a main road and truck haul logs, so there is noise starting at daylight. Host immediately addressed a couple issues that showed up which is bound to happen over 5 weeks. Bring a flashlight for everyone. The are a couple there but it gets dark. Internet after host bumped it up was 60MB down 20 MB up.
