Perfect place for a long weekend on Lake Shafer. Private, clean, and a great location.

Lindsay was great about allowing our dog to come with us. She also was very receptive to us having 2 vehicles at the resort. The decorations and furnishings were really clean and crisp. My daughter enjoyed fishing off the dock.

Lindsey’s place was very nice and clean. However, we have three kids and two dogs and found out quickly that this isn’t the place our family will return too. There really isn’t anything for the kids to do expect for the pool and lake. We usually stay down the street at the Outrigger Cabins and they have many activities and games with a huge yard for the kids and adults to play in. At Lindsey’s place there is no yard. However, the pool area was really nice and we really enjoyed that. We stayed in the cottage that allows pets and there is only a small area to allow your pets to use the bathroom that you have to walk a bit for. Also, there was only a small air unit in the living room, the kitchen and bedrooms do not have air in them and we all slept pretty hot every night, even with the doors open, and didn’t get the best sleep because of that. The bed in the living room is a futon not a pull out sofa as stated. Overall the place was nice just not the place for our family.

The property was great, good location. The main thing that kinda swayed me away from this place was how much the property owner was in I guess you could say “our business”. I went with my wife along with a couple were friends for my birthday, we were in the pool trying to relax and she came to the pool and decided to skim it while we were just relaxing out of nowhere, which made us decide to get out of the pool. Later that day she knocked on our door to let us know she had corn hole in the office out of nowhere, and giving the impression she just wanted to see what we were up to because of how she barely made eye contact and looked around behind me while talking. I completely understand the idea of letting us know what activities are available, (property information on website) but the way it was done seemed awkward. Again we had a great stay but felt a little “invaded of privacy” she might not of had bad intentions so no disrespect.

Lindsay is a great host! She's very nice and attentive. The resort is beautiful
