Abdel Sadek was a great host. The place was very clean. We were a short ride away from the other side of the Nile. The terrace was so beautiful. We enjoyed delicious home cooked dinners. They provided to-go breakfasts when we needed to leave early. It was a great experience and we enjoyed seeing local people.

For those looking for a less touristy more “authentic” and peaceful stay, we highly recommend Nubian Holiday House on the West Bank in Aswan, away from the noise of the east bank. It’s very easy to go the east bank on the public ferry. The house is beautiful! Very spacious rooms, plenty of space for a family of 8 to play games and hang out together. The West Bank is not at all touristy - no restaurants, grocery stores, but our family loves that and everything we might have needed was available on the east bank, a short ferry ride away. Delicious breakfasts and dinners. Very helpful folks. In short, if you’re looking for a bit off the beaten path, beautiful setting, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent choice for Aswan. Super clean with an excellent view of the river from the Nubian side. There is a good pool table on the deck. Everyone is really kind and helpful. Bathrooms are shared and river cruises may complain about picking you up on that side of the Nile. It’s my choice when I return.
