This stay was better than expected! The grounds are utterly beautiful! We took a walk along their river every morning before breakfast, our dogs thoroughly enjoyed this space and having the freedom to run and jump in the fresh water. Coming back and sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of tea and breakfast was made even better with the exceptional views. The property is beautifully set out and the under floor heating was a personal favourite 🤩 everything is very comfortable, spacious and easy to use The hosts were very friendly and an in-depth tour of the property and how to use the heating was greatly appreciated along with recommendations of local restaurants. We ventured out every day on different walks which were all very close ( less than 25 mins) We had a fantastic stay here and we would love to return again. Thank you for a wonder Easter break.

Such a lovey quiet place to stay with wonderful views from every window! Derek and Kath ensured that we had everything we needed from wood for the log burner to scented candles and cheese and crackers to nibble on. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed soooo comfortable. It was also a delight to meet their 2 dogs Buttons and Jacob…. The place is a credit to 2 of the most wonderful hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Can’t wait to come back!

Derek, Kath, Buttons, and Jacob were all fantastic hosts. From the moment we pulled up we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The whole cottage was clean, homely, and had all the essentials and more, with the thoughtful extras included. This cottage is perfect for walkers, as there are lots of walking routes around the cottage, down by the lake, and only a 10 minute drive from Scorton. Our experience was amazing and we will definitely be back again!!

Wished we could have stayed longer! The cottage and surrounding farmlands are simply beautiful. The acres of fields and rolling hills provide the most stunning views you can just sit and enjoy the peaceful landscape. Our little puppy had the time of her life being able to run around freely in the enclosed field and explore water down at the river. The cottage itself is idyllic - traditional beams and stone flooring give it a really cosy feel, and the recent restoration has given it a really modern finish with everything you need. And truly dog friendly with a dog bed, towel and bowls provided. Derek was a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!

A Lovely cottage set in beautiful surroundings, everything we needed was there, and more. with so many little personal touches. Derek and kath go that extra mile They were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. I Particularly enjoyed sitting out on the patio reading my book, watching the ducks, playing with Jack out border collie, we had a great stay and will definitely be visiting again,
