Our first stay with Amanda, we travel to Wigan a lot, so I am delighted that I have booked this up for all our stays in 2024. Very spacious and well appointed apartment. Two great sized bedrooms, well furnished with comfortable beds. Bathroom was lovely with Bath and Shower in bath with rainfall and normal shower heads. Open plan lounge, diner and kitchen had everything we needed. Just a short walk from the high street, the area was quiet and has many pubs, bars and food places just up the road. Back four times this year and will definitely book with Amanda again for 2025.
Amanda’s place was beautiful, clean and spacious. We had everything we needed for our stay. Local shops and transport is within walking distance. I highly recommend this lovely apartment.
This is the best ever place I have visited for this price. If you even want to visit Wigan - don't even think about it. If it is free just book it and you will never regret it. What they don't say is that the view from the windows is really beautiful, because you can see the sunrise and the sunsets. I can't be happier with my stay.

Hi, I'm Amanda! My own travels have taken me to set up home in various places from Manchester and Yorkshire to Spain but I've lived in Wigan now for over 7 years. I have a love of animals, nature, good music and good food and would like to offer you a warm welcome to the home of the Verve, the Wigan International Jazz Festival and (of course) the annual World Pie Eating Championships. I joined other fellow Wigan hosts in late 2021 to offer locals and travellers a change of scenery from the regular hotel spaces on offer as well as the opportunity for travellers to perhaps stick around a little longer to see what the historic town of Wigan is really all about. From Real Ale and Cider to the Fairy Glen, from classic British food to international cuisine, the northern treasure of the ancient Haigh woodland park and the Museum of Wigan Life, where George Orwell did the research for his book 'The Road To Wigan Pier'. There are little gems all over the town to discover and you have the perfect base to do just that.
