This place was very reasonably priced and so I wasn’t expecting luxury. The property itself is very tired and could do with some tlc, there’s a bad damp problem and the air fresheners around the place are quite overwhelming, but I suspect they are there to disguise the damp smell. The upstairs seems to have avoided the worst of the damp though, and the beds were very clean and comfy. The kitchen has seen better days, but was clean and tea, coffee and sugar was provided, as well as little milk pots. The flush made a terrible noise every time it was flushed which made us a bit concerned about the plumbing, however the shower was hot and quite powerful. There was only 2 bath towels left for 5 of us, but there was keys for some cleaning cupboards which had some towels in, so rather than bother the host we used those (hope that was OK!) We needed to contact the host once for help with the heating and they replied quickly and were super helpful. This place is clean worth the money.

Thank you Ian for hosting us, you were very helpful and always replied my messages on-time. The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. The rooms are massive and the beds were comfy. The house was cleaned and tidy, however there was a very strong and bad bad smell in the kitchen (despite being cleaned). All the basic amenities were provided. The place also got only 1 toilet and its located in the downstairs area of the house (not ideal for old people or heavily pregnant women). The place was easy to find and has great location for being close to other towns and major cities such as Manchester & Liverpool.
