Really easy to find (which was important at 1am) and to get into! Although parking not on site it was straightforward and close by. Apartment was compact but had everything we needed including a nice wee garden. Very pet friendly too - even left poo bags and a bowl for the dog.

A really beautiful and rustic cottage with heaps of character. Really clean, comfortable and cosy. The cottage has very low ceilings and beams, so mind your head if you are tall. The bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. The main bed is very comfortable, but be aware that the single bed is through a doorway from the bedroom with no door, and that you must pass through this space to get to the bathroom. So if you are just using the main bedroom/bed, then not really an issue. However, if you are using both beds then you lose a bit of privacy and may disturb the single bed sleeper by passing through to use the bathroom. The only small issue (minor as it was as I had earplugs), was the sound of cars passing the cottage was quite loud inside. The main bedroom has a window out onto the street, as does the living room window and entrance door. Not a busy road at all, but when cars passed it was loud inside. Overall, perfect to stay to drive down to Liverpool which is why I stayed.

Kevin has been a very attentive and amenable host. Lots of helpful communication and the place was very homely with extra bits and bobs we weren't expecting. I would have no hesitation booking with Kevin again.

Kevin’s home is a beautiful wonky little cottage with bags of character. The open fireplace stood out for us and made relaxing in the evening very warm and cosy. He is a superb host, with excellent communication and goes above and beyond even helping to place Birthday balloons prior to our arrival! The “minibar” and “emergency amenities” are more than what we would expect from an Air BnB, but they really were the icing on the cake for the property. This home is perfect for a forget the world type break or even a city break with Manchester and Liverpool both under an hour journey. We highly recommend this property to all!
