Not at all what was on the web site. The pics are misleading. Not dog friendly. The host harrassed us many times during our stay including letting himself into the property and confronting me in the evening after bombarding me with numerous texts messages and calls. Even asking him to leave us alone as we are disabled and my wife having recently suffering a major stroke and requiring my assistance ignored my requests and said its a shame but insisted I discuss his issues with me there and then to which I was shocked upset and scared as he threatened to ki k us out and cancel the stay even though we had started our stay. I should have called the police and reported him. My partner was so scared that he would keep turning up that we got little sleep. He also accused us of turning off the wifi and removing devices. I believe he lives next door as he constantly stalked us. His attitude was despicable and very unkind. He was abusive and intimidating. I would not recommend this host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for local walks along the canal. Also visited Martin Mere, Fairy Glen, Mere Sands Wood nature reserve. All recommended. The house itself was well equipped . The beds very comfortable. The choice of treats in our welcome pack was amazing. The ground Roberts coffee was excellent and we visited Cedar Farm to buy some to take home with us. Would definitely book again.

Parbold is a great location for walking. Lots of amenities, cafes and pubs on doorstep. Nice property and great supply of local produce, which was nice touch.

A great cottage perfectly placed for walks, cafes, restaurants and it’s got everything needed for a stay. Really nice touches such as groceries and local treats. Highly recommend.

Our second stay at Alistair's cottage. It's warm and cosy. Really like the added touch of hot water bottles. I would definitely recommend this cottage to the Airbnb community
