Very welcoming, exactly what we were looking for, very clean and tidy with all amenities provided. We will be looking to stay again it was that nice. Excellent location, very peaceful and private. We didn’t realise there was a beer festival on at the pub opposite during our stay but even then there was no noise disturbance and was a great atmosphere.

Top Locks Cottage is a beautiful canalside cottage next to the picturesque top locks. It was a perfect place to stay to meet up with old friends in Burscough and with lovely walks for our dog. We did not use the hot tub but the garden and decking area were very inviting if the weather had been a little warmer. The garden was larger than expected and private. The cottage was beautifully presented and well equipped. The hamper of quality local goodies left for us was immense but we managed to finish everything as it was all so tempting. The sitting room was comfy and cosy with a log burner and wood, kindling and lighter were all supplied. The Ship Inn just across the canal is a lovely pub with a 'local' feel and good atmosphere. We had a delicious roast dinner on our first night. The pub is also very dog friendly. Amy was very responsive and gave excellent instructions. We hope to be back again soon to our bolt hole retreat in Burscough, my home village where I grew up.

Great location. Fire was excellent. The hot tub is to difficult to manage, plus the weather wasn’t great so access etc wasn’t good. Feedback provided for that The house, the location, the space though all perfect, close to Liverpool, Manchester for city days. Local area very nice. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank for also for the extra touches. They were very much appreciate.

Perfect for a lovely girly weekend away. Amy made us feel right at home straight away with her lovely little touches. Would recommend if you are looking for a stress free weekend.
