Welcome to our home in Raleigh! We're exited to be able to share our home from time to time with other families or traveling professionals visiting the Raleigh area. If you're looking for a restful neighborhood as your temporary base in Raleigh that's close to everything the Triangle has to offer, you'll love our place! If you're looking for a comfortable home in a family friendly neighborhood for your family or travel group, our place is great. If you're looking for a space to gather with friends for a late night extravaganza, our home and neighborhood won't be a good fit. We have a *zero* tolerance policy for any parties. Also, keep in mind this home is our family home - we actually live here and it's not a full-time "rental" house. That means you'll get to enjoy our quality cookware, furnishings, and feel right at home. You'll also see our family art and photos, the kids' schoolbooks on the shelves, etc... We like to set expectations in case guests are looking for a more sterile and basic lodging environment :) On to details! Our home was recently updated and features a wonderful indoor/outdoor living space between the 720 sq/ft covered and screened deck, 1,500 sq/ft of patio space, 20 ft X 40ft heated saltwater swimming pool, and quarter acre of lawn space! In the home, you'll enjoy our living room with comfortable seating for 8. Our dining room and kitchen are open from the living room and also have seating for 8. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality pots and pans (Le Creuset for most items), glassware, utensils, coffee maker, etc - we actually live here and appreciate quality kitchen items! Off the kitchen you'll enjoy our large deck overlooking the half-acre backyard with mature Oak trees providing ample shade. The deck features a 42" commercial-grade Hestan grill, outdoor bar, and outdoor couches that seat 8+. Back inside, upstairs you'll find a master suite with a king bed and en-suite bathroom plus two additional queen bedrooms, plus a full bathroom. Downstairs is our laundry room with large Samsung washer and dryer, a fourth bedroom with two twin beds, and a family room with a 75" flat-screen TV and large recliner sofa in addition to a third full bathroom. Off the kitchen is our 720 sq/ft covered and screened deck with seating for 10 at a table and two outdoor couches. Ready for your stay for a family, education, or professional visit to the area you'll enjoy our fiber-based 1gb internet service and central location to the area. We are approximately 15 minutes from the RDU Airport, 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Cary, RTP and 30 minutes from Durham and Chapel Hill. Grocery stores are 5 minutes away, a large mall (Cabtree Mall) with an Apple Store and more is within 10 minutes and we have a very walkable neighborhood to several restaurants and "the best" Ice Cream shop in Raleigh called simply "Fresh Local Ice Cream"! Additionally, you can quickly connect from directly from our neighborhood to the fantastic bike and walking trail system that provides access to most of the Raleigh urban area and enjoy a 10 minute drive to access the 5,000+ acre Umstead State Park. Please note that our garage is off-limits for guests during your stay. We may need to access it and will work to communicate well in advance if this is the case during your stay.
