It's hard to be close to anything in these crossroads, so this place was absolutely phenomenal. The history alone inspired me to buy an oxford world atlas. If you're about the spoops, multiple ghost tours are within a 15 minute drive. Also beautiful hiking trails on the canal. 10/10 would reccomend. There's also a sheetz nearby and a seven-11 with a liquor licence (props to that Seven-11 for carying Dr. Stoners)! West Virginia is sooo underated, and so is this masterpiece of a stay.

The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The problem is that you couldn't get in touch with anyone. I called and emailed "Mike" the local person who was our contact. Never heard from him. I messaged host which is a management company "Evolve ". After messaging them multiple times , I finally called them. The guy who answered had no answers for me. He said he would contact owners and Mike and they would contact me. There was no toilet paper at the property or any paper towels. I had to buy my own. The last day there Evolve messaged me and said if I send the receipts for the toilet paper, they would reimburse me. It not the money, IT IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, which they had none. If you book this place, don't expect to get any answers if you need help.
