Spacious home. Comfortable beds. Large shower/tub in master. Parking good for large vehicles (truck and suv). Nice location for our needs. Washer and dryer were great. Kitchen had most of what I needed for cooking. Booked before any other reviews and photos do not show the window and free standing AC units. AC unit in the living room keeps that room comfortable when it’s 93 outside. But the kitchen and dining room get a little warm. The master bedroom AC unit isn’t as good as the front two bedrooms. Thankfully, the box fans in the closet downstairs helped to circulate the air a little better. Bathrooms do not have AC units in them.

This house has so much character and so many places to spread out! Lovely outdoor spaces and screened in porch! Everything was as advertised! We enjoyed walking to the town of Charles Town and took a day trip to Harper’s Ferry.

Highly recommended. This is a beautiful, historic house in a great neighborhood. My stepkids enjoyed exploring all the different areas, like the loft/attic, and playing in the yard and basement. I liked that the neighborhood is walkable, and enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch. Everything was comfortable, from the beds to the towels. We stayed during a heat wave, and while there is no central a/c (not surprising, because this is an old house), the multiple window units upstairs kept the bedrooms and living areas downstairs cool. Cory was a welcoming host, providing things like bottled water and all the stuff you might possibly need in the kitchen. I had easy communication with him, and he allowed us to check in early. The whole stay was excellent, from beginning to end. This feels like a house that is really cared for. I’d definitely stay here again, and cannot recommend it enough! Thank you so much for the great trip.
