Tuckasegee · 整套小木屋 · 3室6床2.0卫 · 可住8人 · Mountain cabin in woods, lake, deck, accessible
The cabin is our second home. It sits at 3,000+ feet, surrounded by quiet forest. It's half a mile up a steep gravel road. It sits on 2+ acres and has 180 degree winter views of the mountains. Bear Creek Lake is 2 miles below and visible from the deck year round. There is a woodstove and central heat but no air conditioning. The closest grocery store is in Sylva, which is 20 minutes away. There is a Dollar General and gas station less than 5 miles away, in the tiny town of Tuckasegee. The cabin was built in the 80s and has an open living/dining/kitchen area with exposed beams. The deck is very large and includes a covered porch. Real home, not a resort. Owner managed, not by a property management company Fire pit Goldfish pond Birdfeeders Large deck Outdoor dining for 8 Fire wood included
This was our second time staying and Ron and Helen’s house. We felt right at home and had everything we needed for a nice, relaxing weekend! We hope to come back for a 3rd time.
We liked this place very much: nice and comfortable house, great view, very responsive hosts. Everything was well thought and prepared. Special thanks for marshmallow that our kids gladly roasted at the fireplace. It is also pet friendly that made it perfect for our big family (dog included). Definitely will consider this place if we happen to be at this part of the mountains again.
Beautiful cabin with beautiful views! Very well equipped in all areas. We loved our stay!
70 wooded, steep acres with 11 houses. Quiet, dark night sky. Rock out- croppings, rhododendron and ferns. Steep, single lane gravel road. Mostly retired and/or seasonal folks.
The road is steep, gravel and single lane. The cabin is half a mile from pavement. The driveway is a sharp turn off the road. There is plenty of parking at the house. Three cars can park out side the kitchen door and two more further down the flat driveway. there is covered parking for one car.
