Shelburne · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室0床1.5卫 · 可住6人 · Neptune's Rise ~ Explore the Bay on SUP Boards
Neptunes Rise is a modern 2 bedroom family friendly cottage in a picturesque oceanfront setting. 10 minutes to Shelburne for shopping and restaurants. Close to beaches, and other outdoor activities. Borrow the cottage stand-up paddle boards and explore the bay. Private and secluded, but close to amenities, Neptune's Rise is ideal for an adventurous family or couple to get away for a week in the summer. It has everything you need. This newly built, bright, modern cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, an open concept living space and a two piece bathroom on the main floor. Large windows over the dining room table flood the interior with light and capitalize on its private location and glorious sunset ocean views. A patio door leads from the kitchen to an upper deck. There are two other patio spaces on the property – one in front of the bedrooms and the other by the main entryway. Patio furniture and a propane BBQ are set up for evening entertainment. Neptune's Rise sleeps 6 people comfortably in two bedrooms and one common room. The bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Both have queen size beds and plenty of closet space. Both bedrooms have patio doors that lead out to the garden. A third sleeping area under the stairs has a twin trundle bed that pulls out to accommodate two people. The main bathroom (3 piece) and laundry facilities are on this floor. With so much to do outside: paddle boarding, bonfires, and forest walks on the property, it won’t bother you that there is no television at the house. The house does have internet. There are also plenty of board games, toys and books to keep the family entertained.
The accommodations overlooking the ocean were very peaceful and relaxing. Everything was provided (dishware, plastic wrap for food storage, extra toiletries) making the stay very comfortable and convenient. The host was quick to respond to inquiries.
We loved our stay at Neptune’s Rise. It was private and peaceful but so close to all the conveniences and fun of Shelburne. The house was a joy to be in—so smartly designed and well-equipped. It really felt like home for a week. Comfortable beds, great shower, easy-to-maneuver kitchen. Just a really easy and pleasant place to spend time. The views of the water are gorgeous and the sun deck and windows let us catch glimpses of seals, porcupines, deer, and tons of ducks and birds.
We loved our stay at Neptune’s Rise. The location was quiet and scenic. Being right on the bay we enjoyed paddle boarding, searching for sea glass, and even swimming. Brrrr! Communicating with the host was helpful and always prompt. The house is lovely, was clean, and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here.
Overall stay was well beyond our expectations. The loction was amazing the house was wounderful the walks on shore you'll never forget. Lots to keep the litte ones busy which we werent expecting at all. Like coloring books, toys, blocks even playdoh etc... which really helped. Everything was clean and perfect. Definitely would stay again. No complaints at all. Perfect for the family.
Neptunes Rise is located on the eastern side of Jordan Bay on a wooded oceanfront lot with over 600 feet of pebbled shoreline. Outside the grounds are a mix of wooded paths, pine trees and an old apple orchard. The pebbled shoreline stretches along the banks of the bay for miles. Borrow the stand-up paddle boards and take to the water to explore the bay.
It is about a 10 minute drive to the closest town of Shelburne where you will find groceries, boutique shops, museums, restaurants and bars, a craft brewery and Osprey Performing Arts Centre. Shelburne also has a number of festivals throughout the year. Founders Days on the third weekend July is a popular event as is the Whirligig Festival in September.
Lockeport, a 25 minute drive, is home to 3 distinct beaches: Crescent Beach, Freddy’s Beach and Col. Locke’s Beach as well as a number of restaurants and shops. Lockeport also hosts a number of festivals: a charming small-town Canada Day celebration; a music festival and called Harmony Bazaar and a Sea Derby.
Round Bay Beach and Western Head, both popular surfing spots are within a 40 minute drive from the cottage.
There is no public transport, so to really explore the South Shore you will need your own vehicle. There is parking on site.
It is a 2-hour drive to Halifax International Airport and 1.5 hours to the ferry terminal in Yarmouth.
自我介绍
I moved to Shelburne in 2000 and I have spent the last 24 years working in Nova Scotia’s tourism industry first as a B&B owner and now as an owner/operator of Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals. I love my adopted home. I think Nova Scotia’s South Shore is an undiscovered gem and I look forward to sharing my local knowledge with you. When I am not helping my guests find the perfect home for their vacation, I'm off exploring new parts of the world.
