Excellent stay! Beautiful location with lovely walks nearby. Neil met us on arrival and provided us with a very generous hamper. Spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend for a walking holiday!

We had a lovely stay. Our host had perfected the art of being welcoming, approachable and hospitable without being intrusive. The location was perfect and the accommodation was exactly what we needed. We appreciated the touches of easy recycling including food compost as well as a lovely welcome pack. Thank you.

The cottage is even more amazing than the photos suggest. The Longhouse is comfortable, clean & well-equipped. Neil met us on arrival & was very informative about the local area & the cottage itself. We had a lovely private garden where we could sit & enjoy the views of Pen y Fan & Corn Du. Lots to do locally including: climbing the mountains; The Four Waterfalls walk; visiting Elan Valley Dams; & Flying the Phoenix at Zip World. We also explored Brecon, visiting the cathedral, the Groves & walking alongside the river & canal. We stayed for 5 nights, but there's so much to do we could have stayed longer! Thank you to Rob & Neil for letting us stay in their beautiful cottage. We'd love a return visit in the future!

Was blown away by the beauty of the location. Attention to detail inside the property was amazing. Beautiful hamper left for us made us feel so welcome. Amazing few days away from it all.

I discovered The Longhouse quite accidentally. We were travelling to Brecon for a few days and needed somewhere to stay. The Longhouse was available and the rest is history. What a splendid location! Beautifully rural and yet within very easy reach of Brecon, The Held and its three holiday cottages are simply stunning. We stayed in one of the three cottages - The Longhouse - for three nights. It is an exceptionally well-appointed property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Our host was welcoming and helpful. Suffice it to say, we would very happily return. Indeed, we are keen to do so. My one observation is that this is not a property for anyone who can't manage steps. It's very attractively set on several levels but it would be unsuitable for a wheelchair user or for anyone with significantly impaired mobility. That's not a criticism! It's just the reality for this particular location. But, if that's not an issue, it's brilliant. My congratulations to Rob and Neil.
