Enjoy the peaceful countryside in our cozy Studio Guesthouse! The Studio is a separate 375 sq. foot building on our property (situated approx. 75' from our home) that you will have all to yourself. During the week this is my working portrait photography studio - I meet with and photograph clients right here! On the weekend, we invite guests to stay in the studio. If you love nature and you're looking for a quiet retreat in the hilly Kettle Moraine area, this is the perfect little haven for you! Built in 2015, the Studio is a bright space with lots of natural light (which converts to my photography studio during the week)! The Studio consists of one open room that is used for lounging and sleeping, and a bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a queen sized bed and a futon, a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot & desk area. Important note: internet and cable TV are NOT provided. There is a Smart TV and you are welcome to bring a hotspot. We provide a DVD/Blu-ray player with a few DVDs as well as a wii gaming console with 2 remote controls and a few wii games. There is an HDMI cord if you would like to connect your laptop. Unplug, unwind and get away from the daily grind on our 4 acres of tranquil Wisconsin landscape. Have your morning cup of coffee on the patio. Meander along the nature paths in the backyard, looking for wildflowers and butterflies. You may see wildlife like deer or sandhill cranes; we have even spotted the occasional red fox and ring-necked pheasant. Relax by the pond with your toes in the sand while you birdwatch or let your kids catch frogs. Roast smores at our outdoor fire pit. Take a nap or read a book in the hammocks. And hopefully you'll also enjoy one of our beautiful sunsets and a sky full of stars at night! In the winter, bundle up and enjoy snowshoeing our path and then take a few runs down our sledding hill in the front yard! Then cozy up in the Studio next to a cracking fire in the wood burning fireplace (wood provided Oct - April).
