Story Cottage is a very well equipped cottage with everything you need readily available. Nice extra touches as coffee with creamer and a bottle of wine left for the guest. it is easy to find and right in town. I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed my stay at Raven and Stephen's sweet cottage in the heart of Marshall, NC. I like being in walking distance of Zuma, Zadie's, and Madison Natural Foods. I love walking the bridge over the beautiful French Broad river to Blannahassett Island park. The cottage is welcoming, comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, and supplied with all the extra little touches to make you feel at home. Thank you especially for having half-n-half available in the fridge. I arrived late after flight delays and was happy to know I could put cream in my coffee first thing without first having to run to the store.

Staying at Raven and Stephen's old-school cottage in Marshall was seriously awesome. The place is dripping with history and cozy vibes, and even though I was rolling solo, I felt right at home. Marshall itself is pretty charming, especially with those sweet church bells chiming nearby, giving the whole place a cool vibe. I can recommend the local pub – good beer, gourmet pizza, and great company. Plus, Marshall is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking nature you'll ever see. Those four days were packed with awesome moments, and if you're after a real, one-of-a-kind travel experience, I totally recommend a visit at Raven and Stephen's cottage.

The Story Cottage is the coziest place we’ve stayed in Marshall. Raven and Stephen’s care for the space is felt in every detail. The bed is comfortable with USB ports at each nightstand. I was afraid bedroom and bath might be chilly but it’s well insulated. The couch is perfect for reading a book and napping. The location is walkable to everything in Marshall. It’s a sweet spot to spend a few days.
