The home is exactly as described and yes in a very remote location except a small diner down the road. Two bedrooms with kings & the third a full & set of bunks specifically set up for children, just FYI. The home is very well stocked with lots of extras, ie snacks, condiments, toiletries, first aid supplies, toys, paper products, coffees & filters etc. It has a nice wooden deck with table & seating and a fire pit area with chairs & a picnic table. Also available is a 4 person golf cart to explore the area ponds & trails. The master bath has 2 showers, one of which has been converted from a large garden tub. Nice fireplace with wood supplied, tv, Bluetooth speakers, a cabinet of dvd’s & desk are available in the large living area. Our family of 7 enjoyed our stay and the home is comfy although bordering on cluttered with all the extras that we’re not used to in an Airbnb. Also understandably, the mattresses in the 3rd bedroom have plastic covers making them noisy. Nice owner & stay.

I was not impressed with Evolve at all but Jane was absolutely AMAZING!!! We had an emergency about bringing our dog & the site stated it was pet friendly with a fee. Evolve messaged me that pets were not allowed & my husband had to turn around to take our dog back home. Jane LOVES dogs and even had a huge fabulous dog bed and a closet full of dog treats, bowls, leashes, a light so you didn't loose your dog, etc. The house and grounds were were absolutely beautiful and incredible. We had 4 generations age 9 to 92 and all of us had the BEST time. It truly is a "Haven in the Woods." From ridding on the golf carts, to catching large fish in the ponds, to looking up at the trees on the hammock, to telling stories and making smores. We all slept great and were so spoiled by all the special touches that Jane made to make our stay so special. Our boys already can't stop talking about and can't wait to go back. Thank you so much Jane for making our birthday stay so memorable 💗.

Jane (the owner, not Evolve) is fantastic!!! Very proactive in communication, which is so rare in this (or any other) industry. The home was warm and welcoming, while at the same time functional and practical. Everything is labeled and there are plenty of fun little extras to entertain and make you chuckle. She might even have a butterfly for your visit! :-) We enjoyed the serenity and peace. While there is wi-fi available in the house, cell coverage outside is spotty at best. My wife and I are on Verizon and there were times we got absolutely zero signal, not even LTE. We thought it was great to get that detached from our devices for a little while. Jane has a little notebook that lets guest know what's up with everything. The little corner diner down the lane was a slice of nostalgic, rural heaven with hearty breakfasts and lunches; but bring cash, no credit or debit cards accepted. We also ate at Daryl's Dine-In in St. Elmo. Jane is a terrific hostess!!!

Absolutely fantastic and amazing place. Jane was great in telling us about the place and welcoming us. Very personable and helpful. When we pulled in with our family, there was a crackling fire and of course we headed straight to it for s’mores and good talks. The home was so cute and fun. So many cool little things and trinkets that really added to our stay. Special times included by the fire, enjoying the deck in the mornings with the numerous Illinois birds frequenting the place and and their bird feeders. Golf carts to tour the property and head to the fish pond and get a little bit of country. We really enjoyed the cozy country restaurant just a short golf cart trip away. Great for kids. All in all, highly recommend this gem. You won’t be disappointed.
