Flemish Bond is a beautiful, historic home, built in 1870 with a large, beautiful, contemporary extension at the rear. Located centrally with minute walks to the cafes, pubs, parks & main street, this house is in the best location. Set on 1/2 acre with beautiful established gardens, verandas & outdoor spaces, it's perfectly positioned to cater for a family or a group. The large extension lends itself to togetherness, games and relaxing. The house is in a brilliant location: very short walks to the main street, food, bars, pubs, shopping and a mere 68 steps to the local cinema, located in an old chapel. Whilst it fronts on to the main road, the double thickness of the brick insulates the house from most street noise. There is a pedestrian entrance at the front and the other entrance and driveway, for vehicles, is off a lane at the back of the property with plenty of parking. Expansive indoor and outdoor areas, gardens and gathering places makes the property very quiet and private, but the bonus of being within an arm's reach to the main precinct of Glen Innes. At the back of the property a long way from the house are two sheds that are also being renovated. One serves us for accommodation when we are in town while working on the renovations. We keep to ourselves & respect your privacy, but are also happy to say hi if you like. We follow your lead. We get all the seasons here in Glen Innes and it’s the perfect place to visit several times to experience a different season each time.

Fantastic old house in the middle of town, with a top notch modern renovation make the dwelling and garden surrounds classic, yet modern functional. The attention to detail in the furniture, artwork, and little oddities in the house make you feel right at home. We ate at the nearby Motel Lodge restaurant which was top notch and about 2 mins walk. Would be great fun with a family for a week or so. We only had one night, Love the dog too, and especially the garden in autumn on clear blue sky days was as good as Glen Innes gets.
Tess was a lovely host, and it's not often you get an Air bnb that truely feels like a home away from home.
Absolutely wonderful stay! The house was everything we hoped for and more. It was easy to find, situated in a great location, and impeccably clean with all the amenities we needed. Tess was a truly exceptional host. Not only did she provide us with recommendations for local attractions but she also went above and beyond when we accidentally left something behind. She was incredibly helpful in organizing to have it mailed back to us promptly. Overall, I highly recommend Tess's house. Our experience was fantastic, thanks to the lovely house and the exceptional hospitality of our host. We will definitely be returning here on our next visit!
Absolutely perfect. Lovely and peaceful bit still right in the centre of town. Very comfortable with every detail considered. We loved our weekend.
The home and grounds are just beautiful with everything you could need. We enjoyed spending time relaxing at the house and our boys loved playing in the big enclosed grounds. We also could walk to the local shops and cinema which was convenient. 5 stars. We’ll be back!!

The house is in a fantastic location: a very short walk to the main street, food, bars, pubs, shopping, supermarkets and… hate to brag….only 68 steps to the local cinema, located in an old chapel. While the house fronts on to the main road, the entrance is off a lane at the back of the property, where most of the gardens and land is. The expansive living areas and outdoor areas open on to this, so the property is really private and quiet.
You can leave the car at home to wander down the street for food or to access the bars, pubs and shops. Quite a lot of the historic buildings are dotted around as you walk.
You'll need a car if you want to discover more than your immediate area or areas outside of town. There are some stunning national parks to visit and some great drives to do.
