Nick and Kathryn are warm thoughtful hosts who provide everything needed (physically and informationally) for an easy relaxing and fun stay. The home itself was beyond expectation…from the photos, description, and reviews you can certainly get a sense of the style and beauty of the home and surroundings but what you can’t see is how much thought has gone into building an experience as opposed to just a home. From encouraging guests to use the wood stove, to creating a smart home environment, to putting fixtures and reading lights in all the right places, Nick & Kathryn understand all of the touches that elevate. To top it off, the home is in a stunning mountain setting. This was our first visit to Idyllwild. We were impressed with the authenticity of the village, family owned shops, and great restaurants. The town is perfectly void of all things commercial. We will certainly return to Idyllwild and The Dusk House.

My husband and I spent a long weekend here with our pups. Loved the location! It was one of the more isolated feeling houses we've stayed in in Idyllwild with trees on all sides. The creek below was also so peaceful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. We cooked a lot and had all the utensils we needed! Had a great and relaxing weekend!

Beautiful cabin, great amenities, flowing creek in the backyard, view of snow-capped mountains. Perfect environment to connect with nature in a trendy and peaceful space. Hosts are awesome. 100% recommended.

We loved everything about The Dusk House! The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful and there was a large area in the back for our kids to sled. The house was gorgeous inside and out, and we loved all of the decor and amenities. It is a short drive to town, which was nice. We would definitely come back!
