Welcome to DTWild. Your much needed mountain escape. Our newly renovated, retro fabulous, mcm cabin rests on a magnificent property w/ a flowing creek in your backyard. Say what? Yup. A creek. Like with water. And rocks. And fishies. At DTWild you can soak in the hot tub, rekindle by the fire, bbq, ping pong under the pines, nap in the hammock, stargaze, explore, watch movies, work if you must, play games, namaste it up, dance it off, play in the snow, howl at the moon, and yes we have Wifi. We're a Luxury Designer Cabin - Not your grandma's cabin. We're so much better irl. Unlike anyone I've ever met online. The House: The main floor has an open floor plan with massive windows and skylights so you can see tree tops, blue skies and starry nights. There's a modern, chef's kitchen with brand new Samsung Bespoke appliances (even an air-fryer) a coffee station, spices, pots and pans, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and all the things. Dining: Our dining table sits six comfortably and there is a counter top for two more if you want the kids to have their own table like my parents did with me until I was like 40. Living Room: We have the comfiest couch ever. Wifi, Apple TV, snacks, extra blankets and a wood burning fireplace. (byo wood) We have heat other than the fireplace. Don't ya worry. Main Floor Bedroom: You will have epic sleeps because it's so quiet. There's a small fan if you need that white noise because some people aren't used to this kind of quiet. The brand new Casper King has a medium/firm feel with soft premium sheets and a layer that heats up by remote if you really want to get toasty under the covers. Also in the bedroom is a dresser, balcony, closet which is also the world's coziest office nook in case you need to Zoom with the door closed and full privacy. Bathroom: The bathroom is super fabulous. The floors heat, the tub is for two, the shower head rains down on you like a....like a...dang it, what am I trying to say? Oh! Like a soft summer rain. There is also a handle if you just got your hair did and don't want to get it wet. My mother told me I needed to get that. She's never wrong. So says she. Upstairs: Oh you're going to love it up here. The upstairs loft has all the things. A brand new king bed (that also heats up and is slightly softer than the Casper downstairs). There's a swing for reading, chilling and figuring out your life or forgetting about figuring out your life and just looking at the tree. There is a work space with more trees to look at and it's just so lovely up there. I'm already missing it. THE OUTSIDE: As groovy as the house is, the outside is going to blow your mind. I don't want to oversell this, but the house butts up against Camp Emerson which is basically hundreds of acres of natural forest for the Boy Scouts of America. What does that mean for DTWild? It means you have endless views of trees in the back. No houses. No street lights. No humans. Just forest. AND A CREEK. THE CREEK! Time to mention the creek. Strawberry Creek is technically part of their land, but since it's in our backyard it's fair game to explore. In the summer it potentially dries up and you can walk along it although last summer it was flowin' like mad so we made a little area to cold plunge. For the rest of the year it's flowing full speed! Please play at your own risk. HOT TUB UNDER THE STARS: Our hot tub is divine. And it's totally private. As in utterly and totally private. THE DECK: We have a wrap around deck for outdoor meals in the good weather. We have a propane BBQ too. We provide the propane. PING PONG and CORNHOLE is in the yard for the warmer months. HAMMOCK lounging is essential to mountain living. TECH: We have everything you need to connect to the modern world. You can zoom and day trade with our wifi. HEAT & AC. You'll always be comfy. We have Apple TV and with heat and AC so if you don't want to leave the cabin (I wouldn't) you'll be golden. COFFEE: So good I'll mention it twice. Keurig machine, pods, French press, Joshua Tree Coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar... HIKES: Idy has some of the best hiking in the states and there are trails that you can access right from the house. Forgive me for not providing directions at this time. We're so new. I'll have them by spring or sooner! TOWN: We are a 2 minute drive to the center of town. We are a fifteen minute walk to Alpaca coffee and cafe. We are in a very walking neighborhood so explore freely. PETS: We allow pets, but you must disclose that you're bring a pet and that means dogs only. One dog only, but we will make the exception with two. We have a pet fee as does every pet friendly house in Idy.
