The place was very pretty and clean! Management is a little tight with check in / out times but it was overall a great trip
This place is very relaxing, especially outside in the jacuzzi and fire pit. Know that the third room is not connected to the main part of the house, it has a separate entrance so it didn’t work well for our family of 4, also the second bathroom was down there. Maybe I didn’t read the description well enough. I have also been spoiled by other places we have stayed with the kitchen being stocked with oils, spices, teas, bags or Tupperware for left over storage. This place has the basics for cooking. If you like to sleep in I don’t recommend you stay here, there is sky lights in both rooms so my kids were up at sunrise. They did have lots of kids books and some toys which my kids really enjoyed! It was decorated very simple, which I liked but no extra blankets for laying on couch or personal touches like that. It was missing that extra touch of love but it’s also rented by Vicasa, a company not a person. We felt very safe and relaxed here just wanted a little more space.
We had a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, 6 of us total. The hot tub on the deck with the gorgeous view makes this place worth it alone. We cooked all of our meals here, and we were grateful that we brought most of our own kitchen utensils like cutting boards, knives, pots/pans etc. We also brought our own blankets which was a good thing because there aren't enough on the beds for winter. We did wish that there was more seating at the dining table to fit the 6 of us (3 chairs at the table, 3 bar stools) for our family style meals but we made do. Next time we would also bring our own shampoo/conditioner/body soap because the tiny eco friendly power soap was a little odd (though we do appreciate the effort to be eco friendly). We would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The views are incredible as was the hot tub and bath tub in the primary suite. Everything was easy to use and it is close to town to get food and other supplies.
We had a great time returning to Idyllwild. A beautiful view and bright, open spaces. We’d definitely come back.
