Hill house was an amazing find in Idyllwild! We needed a weekend in the mountains to recharge and this was the perfect spot for it. We would love to stay here again.

Hill House was beautiful and a lovely getaway! On the bright side, the place is very clean, well furnished, lots of games, books, and things to explore. The fireplace is perfect, hot tub was great, and the kitchen is well appointed (except for spices and pantry staples... byo salt, coffee, oil, etc.) On the not so great end, this was the first Airbnb where I had to go into town and pick up keys from another location, and then also drop the keys off after my stay... not very convenient at all. Also, there is a separate contract that you have to sign directly from the rental company in addition to the standard Airbnb contact. Lastly, parking for one car is fine on the upper driveway, but parking and access for additional cars for the alternative driveway is nearly impossible... especially in winter weather so I wouldn't recommend for more than 1 car. It was a great stay despite these few things!

Hill House is at a lovely location, peaceful, good views, and close to town. Charming, great decks on each level, spa close to the house. Arriving at night, we had a bit of a challenge finding the parking, which was on a cul de sac street behind the house actually - even though instructions were clear, that street is not well marked. So arriving by day is preferable. We had a really nice and comfortable stay over Christmas!
