Located at the far western tip of Loch Rannoch in the remote hamlet of Bridge of Gaur, Granary Cottage is ideally positioned for guests who want to get away from it all. The cottage provides an escape from city life but be-warned, there’s no take away deliveries or coffee shops out here ! What you will find is that it has all the modern conveniences required for an enjoyable short break in the Highlands. Short Term Letting Licence PK11130F with EPC ratings of C73 and C70. On arrival at Granary Cottage guests will find a warm and cosy cottage complete with a wood burning stove in the lounge, this comes supplied with unlimited wood and kindling at no extra cost. The cottage also has oil fired central heating and is double glazed throughout. The cottage is an ideal base for families but be advised that it is NOT best suited for babies and very young children. The fitted kitchen has all the equipment you would need to make family meals after a long day out on the hills. The shower room on the first floor has an easy assess shower therefore avoiding the difficult climb into the bathtub for a shower. There is also a toilet / cloakroom on the ground floor for guests convenience. You will see that I don’t charge for hosting well behaved dogs (just let me know if you’re bringing one or two).

Granary Cottage is a fantastic place! Ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle. Kim was a lovely host and made our stay welcoming. If we decide to come back to that area we will definitely look to stay here again.
Kim met us when we arrived and made us very welcome. The cottage is immaculately presented and full of all the home from home requirements you could wish for. We heeded Kim's advice and brought all food & drink in with us as it is truly remote and 12 miles from the nearest shop. If you want expert guidance on walks over the hills, what to expect and the vest views then Andy is your man. He put us on to some great walks with our spaniel (who was greeted by Andy's spaniels. As very seasoned Scotland travellers glowing praise doesn't come easy from us, we've seen the best & worse of short break stays but this place is on another level, a perfect 10/10 and we'll sure to be back. Granary cottage is a fantastic stay for a highland getaway! The cottage itself was beautifully presented and cosy, equipped with everything we needed and positioned perfectly for amazing walks with the dogs. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly and took the time to explain what was on the doorstep, how to get about and generally make the most out of our time in Rannoch. It isn't often that we would consider repeating a booking but this is one that we certainly would!! Thanks so much for a lovely time

We had a lovely stay at Kim’s place. The cottage has many personal touches which makes you feel right at home. Kim’s homemade shortbread were absolutely amazing. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful landscapes around. Kim is very friendly and has been very helpful! Definitely recommend. 10/10

Within easy walking distance to the River Gaur and Loch Rannoch Granary Cottage is perfectly located for people who love exploring the great outdoors. Schiehallion is a very popular Munro to bag whilst staying at the cottage or why not take the train to Fort William and climb Ben Nevis.
There are two ‘off street’ parking bays allocated for Granary Cottage to use free of charge.
Having your own vehicle is highly recommended.
There are private taxi companies in the absence of buses covering the immediate area, full details can be provided upon request.
