Jose and his wife’s place is a must place to visit and stay. They were welcoming and such lovely people. I’d stay their again . From the moment you step onto the property, you are surrounded by such beauty. Hills of vineyards, quiet, peaceful., tranquil. The lodging was comfortable, welcoming, homey. It felt like staying in someone’s home, the decor is beautiful. Jose went out of his way to accommodate my special dietary needs one evening. He ordered from a restaurant for me and went and picked it up. It was a little hard to find.

José’s property is by far my family's favorite AirBNB experience. The location is stunning and the accommodations are cozy. The village is perfectly situated for excursions into the Douro Valley and there are plenty of very high quality restaurants nearby. José and his wife are incredible hosts. We look forward to staying here again next year. Couldn't recommend it more!

What a beautiful place! We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were beautiful and the pool was a nice place to cool off. We were treated so well by our hosts and they made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay again!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Casa do Salgueiral ! L'appartement est très beau et spacieux, les espaces extérieurs sont très soignés. La piscine est un vrai plus après une journée passée à explorer la vallée du Douro. Merci José pour votre accueil !
