Recently renovated, the apartment is an easy 15-minute drive to Charlottesville and very convenient to wineries, breweries, etc. In the hyper-local store downstairs, you can grab a sandwich, snack, and locally made gifts to take home. The apartment is two bedrooms, a simple office, living room with TV and Roku, kitchen, and bath (claw-foot tub with shower), on the second floor of a 100-year-old country store. WiFi is available, and a lot of people need it because they find themselves in a cell phone dead-zone (looking at you, Verizon!) The kitchen has a cooktop, apartment-size fridge, water kettle, and most of what you'll need -- and if you lack something, there's a commercial kitchen downstairs and we're happy to help!

Wonderful, charming AirBnB close to wineries, antiquing, and beautiful hiking. Close to downtown C'ville too! Polly is super responsive, friendly and helpful. The place is exactly as described and the photos are accurate. The furnishings are comfortable and cozy, with great lighting, extra blankets, and a well stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed for a lovely weekend. A previous reviewer said the place was old, but we didn't find that to be true at all. The bathroom is modern, and the place has been restored and has everything both in aesthetics and practicality that one could possibly need. As mentioned there is some traffic noise, but it's really not noticeable from the back bedroom at all, and we quickly grew accustomed to it and didn't even hear it after a bit. The country store downstairs offers delicious sandwiches, burgers, quiche, breads, and pastries. Highly recommend to any guests. We hope to visit again!
Polly’s place is rustic and cute. She describes it very well as an old building. The pictures are very accurate of what the place looks like. She does not sugar coat the place. And she is very responsive. The place was clean and she provided lots of towels. The kitchen is open and nice, but it is missing a lot. The kitchen could be amazing with some love. It just needs a couple more pots and pans and kitchen utensils. The store under neath is incredible. Amazing breakfast and pastries. It has cool artsy gifts. I thought it would have wine and beer. But it doesn’t.
Glad we picked Polly’s spot for our DMB weekend getaway! Super quick drive to get to Charlottesville. The spot was just as described and we loved the food at the country store below it. Easily recommend if you are looking for a cost-effective stay close to Charlottesville.
Polly’s Airbnb was overall great. Location was about a 15 minute drive from Charlottesville and located directly off the highway so there was traffic noise at night, but no dealbreaker. She was a responsive and proactive host and everything went seamlessly. If you’re considering staying here, go ahead and book it!!
A great place to stay and is reasonably priced. Certainly a place I would stay again when visiting Virginia University or any of the other many things that one could do in the area.
