Helen's place is wonderful of you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and adorable place in the city. Being right next to the subway made going out and seeing the city far less stressful. There is a bit of noise with the room, but it's nothing more than living on a busy street anywhere else. I had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely come back anytime

Was the right choice for convenience and value for money. 30 minutes to the airport, An hour (in traffic) to 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Helen was on top of any queries (and I had quite a few, being a tourist). I had an issue with my Uber and Lyft accounts, and like a genie helped in 2 minutes. A really positive experience staying at her place, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Staying at Helen's place was great. Getting in was a bit difficult due to it raining, but Helen answered my message about struggling to get in immediately and let me in. The room is close by the street so it can be noisy, but I'm personally good with noise so it wasn't a problem. The room was comfortable and it even had it's own private door so you don't have to go through her apartment to get in and out of the building. Her place is right next to the subway so traveling elsewhere was no problem. I recommend!

I was thinking a lot whether to leave the review at all because it's not nice to leave negative feedback. Helen is was great to communicate with before the trip. The location is good. But when I arrived the room was not clean with some unpleasant discoveries on bed and elsewhere, the apartment, the bathroom were very messy and cluttered. This can be easily sorted of course for future guests. What can't be fixed so easily is the noise from a very loud boiler inside the room, the street, stairway noises to the point that earplugs are not much help. I am not a spoiled brat but even before realising about the noise problem I felt gutted by the mess, however at 10PM I had nowhere to go so I stayed the first night anyway. In the morning I waited a bit for host response but as there was none by 9ish I simply found the hotel and left. Airbnb had to step in for refund of unused days. My advice is: book this only if you're not a light sleeper and ask for more pics and apt to be cleaned well.
