The Canoe Shop was exactly what I hoped for from the listing. I don't live far away and stayed at Brenda's listing for a 2-night solo retreat so I cannot speak to the surrounding area but the space was perfect for my needs. Beautiful, relaxing, clean, and quiet. No one was staying at the house that shares the property, but I can imagine that my stay wouldn't have felt quite as peaceful/secluded with others so nearby. Not necessarily a negative, just something to keep in mind if you're looking for solitude. It was SUCH a lovely stay and Brenda is very responsive if you have any questions.

The only description I have is simplistic luxury. It’s not often I want to just stay in when we do a get away. This is the ultimate relax getaway spot.

Had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Canoe Shop. The space was exactly as described and photo'd. It was spotlessly clean. It is a bit of a quirky space - best for a couple or a single - less suited to a family or unrelated folks (the bathroom is incorporated in the bedroom space. Very comfy bed. Only wish there was a bit more lighting in the bedroom area - hard to read in bed. Brenda was the consummate host - very responsive to messages. Also encouraged us to dine at her nearby Mill Cafe which was wonderful for one dinner and one breakfast. We would def stay here again if in the area.

This cozy canoe shop was perfect for a quick romantic getaway. We weren’t able to do everything possible given the weather and season, but would love to come back and take advantage of the location. Brenda was also extremely helpful and responsive!
