This is a very special place. The house itself is, as promised, full of light. Windows and sliding doors allow you to see the beauty of the Hudson Valley from all angles. There are bird feeders and a constant dance of birds. And sometimes you can see deer walk down the hill across the way and drink from the creek. The house is comfortable and stylish with lots of places to hang out. We mostly relaxed here, but we also worked in the office and in the living room. We cooked a lot, and this is a well stocked kitchen. There's also a nice table to eat at and a table outside if the weather's nice. Alison is so thoughtful. We were here for an ice storm, and she was quick to manage everything.

Lovely, lovely house nestled in the woods. House is cozy and comfortable - easy living with all the amenities. Not to forget is that Hudson has many things to explore - including the Hudson City Cemetery and OMI Outdoor Arts Center - in addition to the shops and restaurants of Hudson. Hope to come back next year!

Alison was very welcoming and quick to respond with questions and recommendations. The place is so cozy- I was there in winter but could see myself there in spring too. Lots of stuff within 10-15 minutes, I’d recommend a car - but so nice to chill at the house for extending time too. My husband and I will come back and bring our friends for sure.

We had a wonderful time at Oak Hill Estate. If you are a creative person in any capacity, this upstate retreat is a must. It is thoughtfully decorated with so many books and crannies to explore. The property was beautiful and under a fifteen minute drive from Hudson. We liked hanging at the house so much, we cancelled our dinner reservation to hang at home and watch tv on the projector! Thank you for having us. We cannot wait to come back.
