The Shaw House is an historic Greek Revival farmhouse in Hudson, NY set on 3.5 quiet acres. The home is just 5 minutes away from downtown Hudson and proximate to so much else that the Hudson Valley has to offer. The kitchen comes equipped with new stainless steel Bertazzoni appliances and a full range of new kitchen utensils and supplies. Across from the kitchen is an elegant but cozy living room with a down sofa and other comfortable seating along with an original marble mantel and smart TV with YouTubeTV, Netflix, HBOMax etc. Off the front of the house are two stacked porches. Behind the home is a wisteria covered patio with fruit trees that guests are welcome to enjoy. The yard provides an expansive green area with massive maple trees, and a trail that leads to a stream at the edge of the property. There are four bedrooms that feature exceptionally comfortable Stearns & Foster mattresses and hotel quality bed linens. There are three full bathrooms. One features an antique footed tub and the other two have standing showers. All are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Hudson: 2 hour drive to NYC; 2.5 hour drive to Boston; 45 Minute drive to Albany Airport

My group and I loved our stay at Emily's place and would definitely consider staying here again if we ever got the opportunity! The house was absolutely beautiful and had what we needed for a wonderful stay. The only downside was that none of the rooms had blackout curtains like the listing said it had... a definite drawback when you have babies with you! We still had a wonderful time. Emily was an incredible host! The house was so beautiful, we came to Hudson for a girls weekend trip and had the best time! The kitchen and grounds were so dreamy, and the house was beautifully decorated. The home is a short drive from the main Hudson town, and we got to spend time in the town as well as relax in the privacy of the home. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Emily is an excellent host - super responsive and helpful! This is an adorable, clean house in Hudson. Awesome for cooking and group hang outs. Perfect distance to town. Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay at Emily’s place. The weather had just begun to warm up, so we had the opportunity to spend time outside on the grounds and on the porch for some morning coffee. Her house was very well organized. There were little notes and labels everywhere which made things super helpful! It was also set up for kids, which was great for our toddler. Beds and couches were comfy, bathrooms were clean, and she event sent over a list of restaurants/activities/local events in the area! We definitely recommend this place and want to come back!
Wow! What a lovely place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. We absolutely loved Emily's farmhouse. Emily was incredibly accomadating and made us feel at home before we even arrived. The kitchen was perfect for preparing a Thanksgiving feast. And the open space made it really fun and easy to share the space with other "cooks" in the kitchen. Emily was gracious about all the questions we had and made sure we had all we needed for an especially nice stay. We are from Seattle and have never stayed in a place so old and so charming. A treat. So glad we found this gem. Thank you!

You will need a car during your stay, though the Hudson Amtrak station is about 8 minutes drive from the house if some of your group prefers to take the train up. Plenty of parking on property!
